Meet Our Instructors
Harvey Morse
Owner, Partner
Harvey Morse is the founder of Concealed Carry Academy. He has been part of law enforcement for 61 years in Massachusetts and Florida and brings decades of police experience, training, and instruction at the federal, state, county, and local levels. He is a multi-state-certified firearms instructor, personal safety teacher, licensed private investigator and NRA Range Safety Officer, amongst numerous other qualifications.
Harry Katt
Concealed Carry Instructor
Harry Katt is a retired police captain. He has decades of instructional experience as a law enforcement instructor and as a private citizen offering personal safety, concealed carry, situational awareness, and workplace violence prevention training. He is a certified NRA pistol instructor, an NRA Safety Officer, and a North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun Instructor
Peter Gallo
Instructor
Peter Gallo is our internationalist; a former British military reservist from Scotland, he was admitted to practice law in three countries, spent most of his working life based in Hong Kong, and shot as a member of the Swiss Rifle Association before gaining notoriety as a UN whistleblower. He now resides in North Carolina and frequently visits shooting ranges. He is state-certified, an NRA pistol Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and ‘Refuse to be a Victim Instructor.’
Dales Gapas
Conceal Carry Instructor, NRA-certified pistol instructor
Dale Gapas is a product of a police family. His dad was a police Chief in Ohio. He is a Vietnam veteran and has been a volunteer and teacher with various police departments for over 40 years. He is a North Carolina state-certified instructor and an NRA-certified pistol instructor. He has taught firearm marksmanship and concealed carry for over 15 years.
Sandy Moss
Concealed Carry Instructor, Firearms Safety Instructor
Sandy Moss is a retired Buncombe County Sheriff's Office lieutenant, a former NCJA firearms instructor, the first female SWAT member in NC, and the first female SWAT leader in NC. She served as an overseas trainer, consultant, and instructor for the DOJ and DOS from 1995 to 1999. She is a state-certified concealed carry instructor and brings many years of firearm training and experience to our students.
